Millet Cutlets Recipe | Healthy Snack with Sidhya Barnyard Millet

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Cooked Barnyard Millet 1 cup
Finely chopped onion 1/2 cup
Grated carrot 1/2 cup
Mashed potato 1/2 cup
Ginger grated 2 tbsp
Finely chopped green chilli 2
Salt To taste
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Jeera powder 1 tbsp
Amchoor powder 1 tbsp
Besan / gram flour 2 tbsp
Finely chopped coriander As needed

Instructions

  • •Wash and soak 1/2 cup millet for 30 mins. Then pressure cook it in a vessel ( pot in pot method) with 1.25 cups of water, for 3 whistles on medium flame.
  • •Once the millet is cooked drain if there is any excess water and let it cool ( it hardens on cooling)
  • •Then mix all the ingredients and make small patties by greasing your hands.
  • •Shallow fry them on medium flame till golden brown.
  • •Enjoy this with some yummy mint chutney.
